Bin_DATA [The Eternal Pilot]

Bin_DATA is a proposal for a web series in the guise of an educational television programme. Divided into several episodes, it deals with Digital Waste issues.

The story is set on an artificial satellite called Bin_DATA, which is basically a cyber-graveyard full of banished creations, a huge dung heap hurtling through outer space where all the planet’s unwanted files and records lie dormant. And the fact is that there is an afterlife after we empty the recycle bin on our devices.

The episodic TV format and the subject matter not only allow the stories to unfold through multiple media and narratives, but also for all kinds of artistic practices, including the creation of puppets, sets, 3D, music, costumes, the characterisation of fictional characters, etc. These resources are presented through animations, creepypasta stories, performances, AI, video art, tutorials, interviews, video clips, virtual reality and video games.

The Bin_DATA programme is therefore an unusual format in video creation which, under the guise of a children's programme, introduces us to what we might call a kind of transmedia cabaret.
